Note: Batteries sold separately. Will Not Work with Stock Batteries. Tacoma Dual Battery Kits (172-TTDBK, 172-TTDBK-DIY) require Group 34 batteries. 4Runner (181-T4RDBK) and Tundra (182-TTUDBK) Kits require Group 25 batteries.

This Dual Battery Kit by Genesis Off Road is the most complete and easiest to install dual battery system on the market. This version has a heavy duty battery tray that you mount into your application. The top cover plate has several innovative features in a simple package. All of the wiring has already been done for you, and the smart isolator comes pre-installed. The welded gussets on top have holes with grommets to route the wires directly to the correct battery post, so there's no guess work involved to make the connections. Use the extra grommets for routing your own accessory wires cleanly and neatly to the power and ground bus bars. High quality battery terminal connectors are soldered and crimped to the flexible 2 gauge wire connecting the batteries together. With all the wiring integrated into the top plate, servicing your batteries has never been easier.

For the do-it-yourself guys, the Genesis Off Road DIY Kit offers a high quality battery tray as a stand alone kit. If you would like to use your own battery isolator and do the wiring yourself, or if you have specific needs that our full-featured kit does not meet, now you can get the bare battery tray and top lid alone.

simplest dual battery solution

I bought this kit because I wanted to be able to air-up my rig without having to run the motor, but also not worry about draining the battery to the point where I'm stranded. Everything about the unit is quality - its well made and well shipped. Everying is included and honestly installation was easy. I will note however the installation video glosses over the installation of the well nuts, and never having installed well nuts before, I did just as the video shows and didn't seat them. So I actually disassembled everything and used the printed installation instructions which show how to seat the well nuts. So that part sucked but I should have read the directions as well as referenced the video. My bad - Product good.
