We're delighted to say that this month we were able to partner with Tread Lightly! to offer a 1-year individual membership for both of April's winners. Thank you for helping us keep our Earth clean and our trails open. And as always, thank you for helping to keep the spirit of overlanding and compassion alive.
The Overlander of the Month for April is Jason from @knitron!
Jason is one who's quick to share his expertise to both old and new overlanders, including his own kids in their family rig: a Toyota Sequoia.
His friend Xander - find him @hunter_and_camille_explores on Instagram - who is also a Toyota guy himself and drives a 4Runner, nominated him as this month's feature overlander, saying:
"Jason is the guy you want to go on the trails. He is always prepared, always got a smile on his face and will help anybody on the trail. He invited me to go to Moab with the overland group. He let me borrow a ham radio so I was able to talk with the group. He would get out and help me over obstacles that I was not sure of. Also help me fix my truck on the trail when something went wrong. There's no other person. I would trust on the trail more than him. He also takes his whole family on all these trails and shows his children tricks and tips on driving and just airing up the tires. He is the man."
That's the the kind of spirit for exploration we like to see. Check out Jason and his family's travels on Instagram @knitron - he captures some pretty amazing shots on his travels! And follow Xander and his family as well on their YouTube channel as they adventure on. Keep exploring and sharing your expertise as our overlanding community grows.
Let's keep the positivity going - we're now taking nominations for May! Both the winner and nominator will receive a $100 gift card and a camping knife from Overlander.com.

We don’t like to get too hung up on labels here at Overlander, but, well… it’s in our name so we thought we’d take some time to think about what overland travel means to us and for you.
